Membership

Students interested in becoming members of the University Judiciary submit applications each Fall semester. Successful applicants must be currently enrolled students with at least a 3.0 GPA who are able to commit to at least two full academic terms after the completion of the training program. Selected students may not have been found in violation of any University Conduct Regulation or the Academic Honesty Policy. An initial selection process takes place, and those who are successful are invited for an interview.

Students who are selected for membership go through an intensive training program, which is similar to taking a regular class in terms of time commitment required. During this process, trainees receive instruction on skills and topics necessary for successful qualification as a member of the University Judiciary. Training is a comprehensive, 50-hour course that is completed before a trainee becomes an official member. This type of immersion into the conduct process teaches the student many aspects of the Code of Conduct as well as practical knowledge which becomes useful to the member in the performance of judicial duties.

Twenty-three students were invited to be part of the University Judiciary's Spring 2012 training class. Eleven were selected to serve as Advisor/Advocates and twelve to serve as Justices. The training class will be inducted to the University Judicairy in April 2012 upon successful completion of the training program. Congratulations to the newly selected training class of the University Judiciary!
