Dean's CertificationSome schools, programs, companies, and organizations require applicants to submit a Dean’s Certification, which verifies a student’s conduct record (or lack thereof) and academic record. Three offices are involved in the certification process at the University of Georgia. The Office of the Registrar reports the academic record and standing of the student, the Vice President for Instruction reports any violations of the University’s Honor Code (academic dishonesty), and the Office of Student Conduct reports on any violations of the Code of Conduct. The Dean’s Certification process may be initiated by completing the Dean’s Certification Authorization & Routing Slip. Bring, fax, or mail the completed and signed Dean’s Certification Authorization & Routing Slip, along with the Dean's Certification portion of your application (if applicable), to the Office of Student Conduct in 500 Memorial Hall Athens, GA 30602. Once the form has been completed by the Office of Student Conduct and the Office of the Vice President for Instruction, it will be sent to the Office of the Registrar for final processing and mailing. The entire process usually takes between seven to ten business days. Please Note: Requests cannot be made over the phone, nor can they be processed without a signature.
