Instructions and Restrictions: Students need to call to set up their hours. The agency is open Mon-Fri, 8:00am-4:30pm, with some additional Saturday hours available. Students will be required to complete a background check and pay a $35 processing fee.

Instructions and Restrictions: Volunteers must contact Brad. ReStore is open 9am-5pm Tuesday-Saturday. Volunteers must work at least 4 hours to receive community service credit. Dress is casual. Close toed shoes required. Volunteers must purchase a $10 t-shirt. No felony level offenders or individuals with charges resulting from theft, violent crime, or trespassing accepted. Athens Restore requires community service volunteers to be fully vaccinated for Covid-19.

Instructions and Restrictions: Must be 18 years old and physically able. Please dress appropriate: no short pants, no sandals or open toed shoes. Smoking cigarettes must take place off property, no cell phones at work, no profanity, and you must work in 2 hours or more time shifts, Mon-Fri 11:00am-5:00pm. Students must wear a mask. No individuals with charges resulting from theft or violent crime accepted.

Instructions and Restrictions: Volunteers must wear close toed shoes and weather appropriate clothing that may get dusty or mildly dirty from working in a warehouse environment. Transportation: The BFK warehouse is not directly on any bus route but is 0.6 miles from an Athens Transit stop near the intersection of Old Hull Road and Athena Drive on Route 1 – North Ave. evening route and Route – 24 Athens Tech. However, the stretch of Athena Drive from the stop to the warehouse does not have a sidewalk and has high speed traffic. On-site parking is available.

Students must be on time and commit to their scheduled shifts that may fall between 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Friday or on weekends as needed.

Instructions and Restrictions: Please email Mary to establish time to meet and discuss times to complete service hours and complete paperwork. There is a mandatory background check and anyone with charges related to theft or violence will not be permitted to volunteer. The process for meeting, completing paperwork and background check can take up to a few weeks. Hours are completed during the Thrift Store’s business hours, Mon-Sat 11:00am-5:00pm. Dress comfortably and wear closed toed shoes. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all volunteers are required to wear a mask while completing their hours.
